~ Bankers Boxes in the Semidarkness
Us is wearing a Western type shirt, maroon and bleached denim. Us is wearing pleated beige cotton pants and two-tone boat-type shoes, with tassles. Us is standing. The rest are sitting and eating pizza. Us has a large belly with white and gray hair parted to one side. The rest are sitting on black metal and plastic chairs that will be stacked when the meeting is over. As well, the tables will be collapsed and rolled to the corner near the chairs.
“Today Us is talking to you wearing two hats.” Us emphasizes “two hats” by seemingly imitating balance scales. The lights are out. The blinds have been pulled down. The blinds are semi-transparent. Behind Us, on the wall is a projection on a screen; Us is controlling the images on the screen with a wireless device. The poured concrete floor reflects slightly the image on the wall. It is hard to say what the images on the screen are exactly. Outside the room “L” is talking on the phone. “Now the room is being used for lectures? That’s a lot of food for such a small group.” Back in the other room Us is still talking. Us seems to have taken on the air of a preacher. Us is pointing towards the wall opposite the screen, in the semidarkness. Everyone has turned to look. Along the wall are cardboard bankers boxes stacked two high.
